On this metal bird I watch the clouds and breath recycled air
Respiratory tunnels irritated
Mind slowly pulsing
And in my veins, coffee and wine
And the epicenter of it all beats a little quicker
Not much, just a little
Trying to keep up with all of the love I’ve accumulated
to distribute it fairly and equally to those I love and those who matter
But my brain,
or is it my arms
or maybe my spine
or other arbitrary thinking centers
want to give all my love to you
to those life changing moments and clumsy embraces
