This exercise was part of the larger theme of the environment. Through various lessons and activities the teachers made an effort to instill in the children the value of understanding, identifying with, and caring for the natural world. In order to further emphasize this value, in each classroom there are several garbage cans, each of a different color, so as to encourage the practice of separating garbage at a young age with the hope that it will develop into a habit as the children mature. With these small efforts, the child development center hopes to make concrete steps towards the construction of a more harmonious relationship with the environment.
