We met him at the @UCA’s service learning fair last year. After hearing about our projects and the populations we serve, he decided that he would like to do his 600 service hours with Programa Velasco!
Christian is a 3rd year a marketing student and he has a lot to offer! Right now, the most important thing he is supporting us with is monitoring and evaluation processes for all the projects – from building surveys to entering data.
Christian shared this about his experience thus far: “I like what I am doing because it is not a very strenuous job. I know that every day I will do and learn something new. I can also utilize something that I have previously learned – like English! Also, I like the work atmosphere – Programa Velasco is like an extension of my family!”
Everyone on the team is happy to have him here collaborating with us. He is a dedicated, responsible, and kind person. When we asked him what his life’s goal is, he said: “To always be happy, to smile, to make jokes regardless if everything else seems to not be working very well at that moment.”
In the last few months, we have been able to witness Christian’s positive attitude of viewing life!
Christian, each moment you dedicate to Programa Velasco is very valuable to each team member! Without your help, we couldn’t carry out all the activities that we need to do – let alone be successful at them! Thank you for everything, Christian!
