Meet Glendy!
For the last two and a half years, we have had the privilege of learning from and working with Glendy Chacón Montalvo. Glendy has many attributes that inspire others around her – she is a warm and friendly person who always offers, very generously, to go above and beyond to assist someone in need of help or take care of an issue. She is extremely dedicated to the needs of her son, husband, and extended family.

It’s time for another #MeetMeMonday! Alessandra Valentina is new to the Center this year and is in 2 year old pre-school. She will be turning 3 next year on February 17th! She lives with her mom and dad and has an older brother Anthony, who is in Kindergarten here.
Meet Karen!
Our #WomenWednesdays feature article is on Karen Chacón Montalvo. Karen joined the Women’s Empowerment Project in 2016 after her sister Glendy, a second year participant, encouraged her to become involved. Karen and Glendy work together selling fruits and vegetables in the San Ramón community. Their mom and other sister, Gladys, work a different route. It’s truly a family affair! They purchase their inventory at the central market, divide up the items, and walk door to door.
Meet Janis!
#MeetMeMonday this week has the pleasure of introducing you to Janis Hallie, a very smart 6-year-old who will be graduating from the Center this year! Why Early Education?
Music. Story time. Dancing. Naps. It’s that time to learn letters and sounds, colors and shapes, numbers and counting, and of course, how to socialize, share, and make new friends. From an adult’s perspective, it sounds like an idyllic return to all the good and simple things in life.
